Cheryl Rogers

Swayed by her love of mystery stories, Cheryl Rogers decided to become a writer as a child. She earned her bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Sociology and pursued a career as a newspaper reporter. When she was expecting her first child, Cheryl left the newspaper business. She now works as a freelance writer and editor, specializing in the Christian and career genres. She has published some 30 ebooks, including her Bible Camp Mystery and Career Spotlight series.

Cheryl's Bible Camp Mystery series brings her full circle. Here she writes mystery and adventure for preteens and teens, with a spiritual twist. The series features a former New York gang leader turned youth pastor, Chet Harrigan, who takes his boys to the Central Florida backwoods to seek God.

 

Although the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boy mysteries have inspired her, Cheryl's Bible Camp Mysteries feature backwoods adventure more than crime. The boys, who are novices in the first book, learn to brave the wild -- including alligators, snakes, spiders and more. They share the biblical lifestyle, including the biblical path to salvation, plus the importance of obedience and prayer. 

 

Cheryl was trained to write at the fifth grade level in Journalism school -- and her work still is written in an easy-to-read style. These days she writes fiction and nonfiction to share her faith with readers of all ages. The majority of her ebooks are Christian because of her desire to encourage others to seek God and stay connected to his word. That is because she didn't know the Lord until she was an adult, although she went to church regularly.  Cheryl encountered Jesus while suffering from an incurable disease -- he healed her and changed her life!

 

Cheryl writes about innovation and job news for 83 Degrees Media in the Tampa Bay area. Her broad-based publishing background has prepared her for self publishing; she has worked as a desktop publisher for print shops and has her own catalog of nature images.

 

She has designed a catalog of Scripture posters featuring the King James Authorized Version of the Holy Bible, along with other Scripture-inscribed products.  Her original Scripture songs based on King James are available through the Christian Copyright Licensing International.
